Meet Village Pharmacy manager, Joanie Hoyt

Joanie Hoyt, Pharmacist

Joanie graduated from The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and  has been a pharmacist since 1989. Joanie and her husband Mark have two daughters, Kellie and Kendall. She loves all kinds of animals and currently has 5 dogs who she enjoys playing with and taking for walks. Joanie says the main reason that she became a pharmacist is to help make people feel better. “Pharmacists are the front-line of healthcare and that is a responsibility that I take very seriously”, she says. “Pharmacists interactions with patients can truly change and save lives”. Joanie loves to help people by keeping them safe and by being their advocate—hopefully improving their quality of life. She loves being a pharmacist because it allows her to use her knowledge, abilities, and talents to make a difference in peoples’ lives on a daily basis. Joanie is a good listener and always tries to keep an open mind and offer solutions to make a positive difference no matter the situation.
