Denise Marrotta, RPh
Denise Marrotta, RPh began as a Food Science major at Cook College at Rutgers University before transferring to the College of Pharmacy. Denise graduated from The College of Pharmacy at Rutgers University in 1985.
Denise has practiced pharmacy in various settings but has always enjoyed the independent pharmacy because it provides the time for individual care that every customer deserves. She enjoys sharing her pharmaceutical knowledge with our customers as she counsels them about their prescriptions.
She and her husband, Joe, and two daughters, Marlee and Rena, moved to North Carolina in 2008 from New Jersey. In Denise’s words, they escaped the Jersey winters and taxes! She and her family have embraced the Carolina beach lifestyle and love the beautiful weather.”
In Denise’s spare time, she enjoys watching her daughters play volleyball, spending time at the beaches, traveling, and playing with her two rescue pups: Callie and Lucky.
Hi, my name is Joanie Hoyt. I graduated from The University of Georgia College of Pharmacy and have been a pharmacist since 1989. I am married to my husband Mark and have 2 daughters, Kellie and Kendall. I love all kinds of animals and currently have 5 dogs who keep me very busy walking and playing. I think the main reason that I became a pharmacist is that I want to make people feel better. Pharmacists are the front line of healthcare and that is a responsibility that I take very seriously. Our interactions with patients can truly change and save lives. I love helping people. I love keeping them safe and being their advocate and hopefully improving their quality of life. I love being a pharmacist because it allows me to use my knowledge, abilities, and talents to make a difference in someone’s life. I will always do my best to make a difference in the lives of the people I encounter everyday. I always try to listen with an open mind to what someone has to say and offer them anything that can make a positive difference in their situation. What a great thing, to make a difference!
